Important Update on Nationwide Pet Insurance
Nationwide recently announced the launch of the new My Pet Protection Choice (MPPC) plan, which will be made available to all Nationwide policy holders. Please note that your coverage of My Pet Protection (MPP) will be discontinued and replaced with MPPC. For renewing policies, reimbursement levels will remain the same except for the previous 90% plans offered prior to October 2021, which will be moved to the new max of 80%. Other policy coverage changes include an increase in medical coverage, up to $20,000 per year vs. the previously offered $7,500 per year. Accident, Illness, Congenital and Hereditary, and Cruciate coverage will each be subject to a $5,000 maximum, adding up to $20,000 total. The deductible will remain at $250. The wellness maximum will increase to $850.
You will receive a letter packet 60 days prior to your individual renewal date detailing these changes. You will also receive a non-renewal notice for the existing MPP policy and an offer letter which notifies you that your pet will be eligible for the new MPPC policy.
Please contact Nationwide if you would like to adjust your renewal coverage or if you have any further questions.
