Use these tools as you enroll

Which plans are best for you? Look for these tools as you go through the enrollment process — they’ll make it easier to decide.

  • Best match suggestions – Using the Expert Guidance feature, you can answer a few short questions, such as how many people you'll cover, your anticipated health care needs, and how you prefer to pay for health care services. Aptia365 will then build you a personalized benefits package, which you can review and customize further as needed.

  • Plan compare – On the Choose your medical plan page, check the Compare box next to each plan you want to look at, and then click the Compare Plans & Estimate Your Cost button to see up to four medical plans side by side.

  • Cost estimator – As you review your options on the Choose your medical plan page, each medical plan shows an Estimated Annual Cost (your premiums + out-of-pocket costs for care) based on U.S. averages. You can use the sliders in the Personalize your estimated cost box on the top of the page to adjust these annual cost estimates based on your specific health care needs. You can also estimate your tax savings from using an HSA or FSA.

  • DocFinder – Click the Find a Doctor or Hospital link on the left side of the Choose your Medical plan page to search for providers and facilities that meet your criteria. After entering your ZIP code, you can narrow down your results by distance, network, specialty, language, hospital affiliation, group affiliation, city, county, or gender. You can also choose to show only providers who are accepting new patients.

  • Virtual Benefits Fair – Explore all the benefits we offer and find helpful resources through the virtual benefits fair. You can interact with each booth to review benefit provider resources and easy-to-access contact information. Visit here.

  • Learn about your benefit options by reviewing the pages of this site.
  • Think about your coverage needs, including how much health care you anticipate needing and whether your current life and disability insurance provides enough protection.

  • Select your FSA enrollment and HSA contribution amounts. Learn how these accounts save you money.
  • Enter your beneficiary information during the enrollment process.
  • Complete your benefits enrollment within 30 days of your hire date.

TIP: Think about the whole cost.

When choosing a medical plan, it’s important to think about the whole cost of coverage — the amount you’ll spend out of your paycheck, as well as out of your pocket (copays, deductibles and coinsurance).

Top 5 Questions

  1. Do I need to enroll?
You must take action by Nov. 1 if you want to do any of the following for 2025:
    • Make changes to your current coverage
    • Add, change or remove covered dependents
    • Use a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Dependent Care FSA
    • Contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA)
    • Contribute to a Commuter Spending Account
  2. How are the medical plans different?
The key difference between the plans is how much you pay in premiums and how you pay for services throughout the year. Consider how you prefer to handle costs. For instance, would you rather pay extra from your paycheck for a medical plan that covers more of your costs when you need care, or pay as little as possible from your paycheck — even if that means bigger bills when you need care? Compare the plans here.
  3. How can I save money on health care?

  4. What’s the difference between the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and the Health Savings Account (HSA)?
The way the Health Care FSA and the HSA work is largely the same — you contribute to your account through automatic, before-tax payroll deductions, then use the money to pay for eligible health care expenses. However, there are some important differences. For example, all the money in an HSA rolls over year after year and is always yours to keep. And, you can change your HSA contribution amount during the year whenever you want. For FSA, any unused money does not carry over at the end of each year – you must "use it or lose it." Compare the accounts here.
